Description
Click for Hot Chicks is a really nice mod with a really awful name.
Selectively breed wild animals for better livestock, find new crops to help feed you and your animals, and craft fun new food and farm items!

Wild versions of some crops spawn uncommonly, others you may need to find a Farmer to trade with. You can plant and grow these crops normally on farmland, as bushes, or they may need a trellis block. Certain fruit trees also spawn in select biomes; collect from their fruiting leaves to craft the fruit into seeds to plant your own, or combine compatible seeds to make a hybrid fruit seed that doesn’t generate naturally!
Livestock need to eat and drink to be happy; otherwise they won't be able to breed and will run away from you or even attack! Craft a couple troughs, food crocks, and water bottles to hold food or water, and the animals will help themselves from them.
When breeding livestock, the domestic breed you get will depend on the biome you're in: different biomes make for differently adapted breeds with different base stats. Stats help determine meat and hide drops and more depending on the species, so keep that in mind when you decide what you want to breed. Stats generally average between the parents, with a chance for random "mutation."
There's more to come from Hot Chicks, so keep your eyes open!

CHICKENS

Junglefowl spawn in dark forests and other lush forest biomes. They can drop meat and lay eggs, but don't drop much nor lay fun, valuable colors. Breeding above 85% tameness will produce a domestic chicken!
Chickens will eat seeds, wheat, oats, corn, and peas. Chickens have stats that decide how much meat, how many eggs, and what color eggs they make. Leghorns lay lots of eggs, but rhode islands reds have better meat. You'll need a nest or nest box for your chickens to lay eggs in. Breed the two you'd like to have a chick, and leave the egg in the nest for a full minecraft day - removing it makes it unviable, so be careful! If you do remove an egg, you can always use it for cooking and crafting.
The chicken breeds in release 1 are the ameraucana, barred rock, leghorn, marans, olive egger, orpington, Rhode Island red, and silkie.

COWS

Small herds of aurochs spawn in flat, arid biomes. These brutish bovines are intimidating, but only bulls and cows with babies are outwardly hostile. All aurochs are friendly to players holding wheat, and if bred above 75% tameness, you can obtain domestic cow breeds from them.
Cows can eat wheat, oats, corn, seeds, saplings, and leaves. They also graze on grass blocks, like sheep. Cows have breedable growth rates, carcass quality, leather quality, and milk yield stats, so go wild! Cows have a strong stat average divide between milk and meat production, so find what breed works for you.
The cow breeds in release 1 are the angus, brahma, brown swiss, Guernsey, hereford, highland, holstein, Jersey, lakenvelder, and longhorn.

RABBITS

Wild cottontails spawn in grasslands and meadows. They are skittish and run from the player, but with some carrots as an incentive, can be bred for domestic breeds at a high tameness percentage of 85%. Did you know many rabbits are sexually dimorphic? Rabbits nest with fur they pull from their own body, and females grow a thick, fatty neck pouch called a dewlap to make sure they have enough to keep babies warm.
Domestic rabbits can eat wheat, corn, oats, and lettuce. They're a super-efficient converter of low-tier grain, and make great use of space! Rabbits have breedable growth rates, carcass quality, hide quality, and a new stat called litter size. If you're doing a lot of farming, you can selectively breed your rabbit does who have the biggest bunches of babies.
Rabbit meat is a lean, efficient protein, and is a great substitute for chicken in recipes. Leave your chicken yard for the layers - rabbit quarters can be used wherever chicken is needed in crafting!
The rabbit breeds in release 1 are the American chinchilla, California, Dutch, Flemish, New Zealand, and rex.
