Brine

Adding much more to the dark depths of the oceans

Description

A crappy old MCreator mod I made years ago. I no longer use or support MCreator. Please ignore it- it's poorly designed, very crappy, and extremely buggy. Might pick it up one day years and years in the future but I doubt it. I do like the concepts though so perhaps it'll be something other than Minecraft mod form.

Welcome to the world of Brine.

What is brine, you ask? Well, it is an incredibly salty liquid found in pits deep in the ocean depths. And that's what this mod is about: adding all sorts of features to the oceans. The sea was feared long ago, and it will be feared again.

Features text

For a full list, check out the wiki. A link is in the bottom of the description (click on the image).

Exploration

• New, unique biomes

• A new dimension, Byatis

• Many new generated structures

• Vanilla world improvements

Combat

• Several new hostile mobs, with many more planned

• Rare drops used to create superior tools and armor

• Environmental challenges for exciting fights

Building

• 50+ new blocks, with more every update

• A new stone type, prismite, including all the variations that Vanilla stone has (cobbled, bricks, etc.)

• New plants, both normal and strange

Getting to Byatis

To get to Byatis, the eternal sea, you must create a Byatis portal. This involves placing four chiseled prismite bricks (prismite can be found in deep oceans) in a cross shape with the center empty. Put 1 aquanite obsidian (crafted with one aquanite and one obsidian, aquanite is a rare ore found also in deep oceans). A bolt of lightning will strike the aquanite obsidian (watch out for fires), and it will turn into an activated Byatis portal.

Other Info

I will try to update regularly, and make sure each update includes many new features, though they may take some time. It will probably stay on 1.15.2, so don't ask for new versions. 1.12 is not happening.

Planned Features (next update, what may be added)

Be aware that updates will take a while, mostly because of my short attention span.

My plan for the next update is a biome update, adding a bunch of new biomes to Byatis. Stuff includes the bone fields, fungi forests, etc., along with iridum, a new decorative material that's basically scrap metal so old it's petrified (please don't attempt to figure out how, it's just 'cause or magic or something :P). I'm also updating a bunch of textures, 'cause several of them are butt-ugly right now (*cough cough* magmanite). It'll also add much easier file navigation for those of you that like to crack open the assets (now you can actually view the entity textures without going insane). Because of all the terrain features, making a new world is recommended, don't do anything too valuable or time-consuming yet.

There's a lot more to explore, too! Have fun! Also check out the official wiki, including all the features!
