Actually Snowmen
A simple minecraftforge mod that lets you make snowmen/snow golems without a pumpkin and makes snow golems emit light.
Actually snowmen also adds a few extra configurable improvements to snow golems.
Features
- Snow Golems with pumpkins now emit light, making them great to use with leads when mining, or exploring at night.
- Adds the ability to create a snow golem using 3 snow blocks instead of the normal 2 snow blocks and a carved pumpkin/jack o lantern. (This will spawn a snow golem without a pumpkin and give it the name of "Snowman")
- Adds the ability to put a pumpkin (back) on the head of a snow golem wich does not already have one. (Vanilla behaviour of removing with shears is still available).
- Snow golems with pumpkins now drop 1 pumpkin on death.
- Snow golems can be made from powdered snow (no difference from normal snow golem for now).
Configurable features
- The ability for snow golems to emit light can be disabled. (enabled by default)
- The light level for snow golems can be set using the config.
- The ability to add a pumpkin to a snow golem can be disabled. (enabled by default).
- The ability for snow golems with pumpkins to drop 1 pumpkin on death can be disabled. (enabled by default)
- Snow golems without a pumpkin being called "Snowman" can be disabled. (enabled by default)
Note, if a snow golem is named with an item tag, the item tag will take priority, meaning the name will not be changed if you shear the pumpkin of a snow golem with a name tag.
- The ability for snow golems to be made from powdered snow can be disabled.
Possible planned features
- Replace the need to use shears to remove pumpkin from snowmen, instead allowing it to simply be right clicked with an empty hand to remove it (configurable).
Known issues
No known issues for the time being. Wooo!
