Mobs in Minecraft are an instrumental part of the game, be they passive or aggressive. One of the most unique creatures in the game are the tamable ones, like wolves and horses. But what if you could control all of them? What if you could control more than just their movement, like their behavior or abilities? PetBukkit is a plugin that can give you the ability to control aspects of any mob in the game, no matter how they behave originally!
In order for a player to make a mob their pet, they need to craft the mob's respective food and right-click them. That player will then be able to control their pet!
Recipes can be found here.
Players can currently tame the following mobs:
A MySQL database is required to run PetBukkit in order to easily keep track of pets and their owners. You must specify the database name, port, username, and password in the config in order for the plugin to run.
For information on how to configure your database, and how to disable the updater, visit the config.yml help page.
PetBukkit is be protected under the GNU General Public Liscence v3.0, and is be fully open source. This way, others will be able to see how the plugin does what it does, and maybe leave some feedback on how we can make PetBukkit better! View the source code here.
