What is this?
This mod adds skill trees using pufferfishs Skill Tree mod. The skill tree is supposed to allow players to level up their characters and specialize in certain combat styles.
The skill trees are supposed to work with vanilla minecraft and blend in with vanilla minecraft mechanics and the world. I recommend using this in combination with difficulty mods like these:
In time i might make a separate difficulty mod that will utilize the new attributes.
Features:
- Generic Attribute increases via the Main Skill Tree
- 4 Callings allowing for early specialization:
- Call of the Sea: Favors maritime playstyle
- Call of the Mountain: Ideal for mining and spelunking
- Call of the Land: General purpose calling if you dont want to specialize
- Call of the City: Boosts landscaping and building capabilities
- 4 distinct Classes that specialize in different playstyles. Each with their own skill tree that has custom level requirements:
- Guard: Defensive in Nature, perfect for close quarter combat
- Adventurer: Aggressive and flexible but requires skill to take full advantage of
- Scout: Focused on ranged combat and kiting. Likes open spaces.
- Scholar: Less combat bonuses but can get expertise for some biomes which will boost overall stats.
Done Features:
- Main Skill Tree allowing to level stats
- "Calling" start perks to support different play styles
- Base Classes with separate Skill Trees which are unlocked in the Main Skill Tree
Currently Working on:
- Professions with separate Skill Tree which are unlocked in the Main Skill Tree
Planned:
- Class Specializations for each Base Class introducing specialized playstyles
- Bounty Trees that align you with certain mobs/factions and give repeatable rewards
- Maybe a separate difficulty mod using new attributes to make enemies interesting
