RFTools Dimension Tweaker

Description

This mod provides a few machines with similar functionnality to Rftools Dimensions Machines, with the goal of balancing this mod for my modpack.

it currently doesn't introduce any craft recipe or mean to obtain any of the item/block it introduces, nor it removes the suggested machines - you will need to configure this yourself using other mods such as ContentTweaker. Using this mod will let you configure dimlets to accept safely much higher RF costs, and balance accordingly.

Dimension Enscriber Prototype

The original machine is used to assemble dimlets into a dimension tab. You should disable that version (make it so it cannot be crafted/obtained)

This new dimension enscriber will let your players create dimensions with a more restrictive and balanced approach, while allowing you to configure dimlets with extreme power usage (Billion of RF/tick) without risking overflow exploits.
- Like the editor, this encriber will consume your dimlets when you assemble the dimension tab. If you wish to reuse these, you will need to create more!

- To compensate for the above, you can see precise requirements for building and maintaining dimension before building the tab. The interface will update you in real time of the exact RF and time costs as you add your dimlets.
- You cannot add more than one non-efficiency dimlet (such as mining fatigue or wither effect) that would result in lowering dimension cost
- The cost reduction obtained from efficiency dimlet is stacked multiplicatively, instead of additively - matching the original editor behavior when lowering maintenance cost.
- There is a RF/t maintenance cap of 8M. This can be extended to 40M with Alpha or Beta energy dimlet installed, 200M with both.

The maintenance cap may require your players to use efficiency dimlet to sucessfully build expensive dimensions.

Tab assembled in this dimension enscriber can be used in a normal dimension builder, unless Energy Dimlets are used, in that case, only the MK2 Builder and tweaked editor machine can accept these.

Dimension Builder MK2

The original machine is used to build dimensions using dimension tabs. You should keep that version (You could make it so this MK2 machine needs the first version in a craft.)

This new dimension builder should be used as a "super tier" of the original dimension builder.

it removes the energy input restriction of the original machine (or rather, it is set to 2Brf/t). It can also accept dimension tabs that were energised by Energy Dimlets.

- If Energy Dimlet Gamma or Delta is present in the tab, The builder will be able to store 50 times more power inside the dimension.

- If Energy Dimlet Zeta is present in the tab, The builder will attempt to process 10 additionnal build cycles per tick during construction, speeding it up significantly.

Dimension Editor

The original machine is used to inject dimlets effects into built dimensions. You may choose to keep that version (like the enscriber, a potential exploit exists, but is much harder to trigger)

This dimension editor works pretty much the same as the original.

- If Energy Dimlet Epsilon or Energy Dimlet Zeta is present in the tab, The editor will attempt to process 64 additionnal editing cycles per tick during injection, speeding it up significantly.

Energy Dimlets

Dimlets are used to modify the properties of dimensions. This mod introduces energy dimlets, representing a new rarity tier (7), working individually from other dimlets, and affecting energy usage of dimension and machines.

Like the new machines above, these dimlets are added by the mod with no way to obtain these: you must define craft options or other means of acquiring. For convenience, a tier 7 rarity dimlet part is also added, which you can use in your recipes.

The description about what they do is not shown in-game. Here is the list:

- Alpha: Dimension enscriber : Rf maintenance cap x5
- Beta: Dimension enscriber : Rf maintenance cap x5
- Gamma: Dimension builder : Rf storage cap inside dimension x50
- Delta: Dimension builder : Rf storage cap inside dimension x50
- Epsilon: Dimension editor : Editing speed 65x
- Zeta: Dimension builder : Building speed x10

Dimension Monitor:

The original item of this mod will display the energy left of the dimension you're currently in, in RF/t

Since this mod may encourage players to wander inside dimensions with unsustainable energy costs, a different version of the monitor is provided. It will tell you approximatively how long you can stay in the dimension, assuming it is not receiving energy.

What means Verified?
