Orefest is a simple mod that expands on vanilla Minecraft by adding new ores, (horse) armor and weapons.

Versions: 1.19.2, 1.20.1, 1.21 (NEW), 1.21+ (WIP)

FEATURES:

9 new ores (2 stronger than Diamond and 2 stronger than Netherite)
All new ores generate in the overworld
2 new ores generate more commonly in Nether, and 2 more new ores generate more commonly in End
8 new sets of tools & weapons
8 new armor sets
8 new pieces of horse armor
In total 115+ new items/blocks

Planned:
- 2 new special even stronger ores (with special effects)
- 2 new weapon/armor sets
- Armor Trims
- Ore distribution by biome

MOD INFORMATION

Find, mine and smelt new ores across all three vanilla dimensions.
Craft tools, weapons and armor using vanilla style recipes.
Horse armor, amethyst, and sulfurized coal can be crafted using the provided recipes.

List of ores by strength (and rarity):

Stronger than Netherite: Sapphire* (Very Rare), Ruby* (Very Rare)
Stronger than Diamond: Citrine** (Rare), Tourmaline** (Rare)
Stronger than Iron: Amber (Common), Emerald, Amethyst
Stronger than Stone: Silver*** (Common)
Longer lasting fuel than Coal: Sulfurized Coal*** (Common)

1. Very rare ores are rarer or as rare as Netherite.
2. Rare ores are rarer than Diamond but more common than Netherite.
3. Common ore rarity is between Iron and Diamond rarity.

*Sapphire and Ruby are more common in the End dimension.
**Citrine and Tourmaline are more common in the Nether dimension.
***Silver and Sulfur are very common in the nether.
