Map and Information Miscellaneous

MCBindtype is a key binding helper for Minecraft.

Especially made for big modpacks with tons of bindings. Now you can unbind those keys and only keep those that are constantly used, the MCBindtype takes care of the rest.

Basic operation:

Open the UI: “Ctrl + J”

When the menu is open, start typing the name of the key binding you want to execute, when you see it use the arrow keys and enter to execute it.

If you want to hold down a key binding instead of just press it once, use Shift + enter instead.

Repeat previous command: “J”

Repeats the previous command whether or not it is a single press or a press and hold command.

If a key is already held, this will instead release it. (After which point you can then repeat it again)

Favorites and recently used: “Ctrl + f” while the UI is open

MCBindType remembers your recent choices and will try to place them on the top of the list.

If you want to favorite a binding (Pin to the top of the search bar), use Ctrl + f to add or remove from favorites.

Favorites are always listed first when you do have no search text

Filter by category: Prefix the search string by @. For instance try typing “@invent” in the UI and see what happens.

FAQ:

Q: Can I use this in a mod pack?

A: Absolutely, please let me know if you do, its not mandatory but its awesome to know if it gets used 😊

Q: Clientside or multimode?

A: Strictly client side, while you could add it to the server, it does nothing.

Q: I found a bug or a kebind which doesn’t work for some reason, what to do?

A: For now write it in the comments, I don’t have a dedicated bugtracker yet.

Q: How does it _Really_ work?

A: Thanks for asking, the mod works by inventing a new and totally unreachable key and injecting it in Minecraft. When executing a keybind, it is temporarily reassigned to this magic key, “pressed” and then reverted to whatever it was before.  This means even keybinds with no actual bindings should work just fine

Q: Can you add _x_ feature?

A: Maybe, I am not looking for expanding the capabilities to new scopes. BUT, if it is either a REALLY good idea or if it is a good QOL improvement, I will consider it. Please ask in the comments anyway 😊

Too many binds for showing that this could be done.
