Description
Version 1.19+
Requires MowLib
There is Two Versions of this mod
- (Dev) - Pack Dev 'Blank' version, this version is intended for packs who want to fully customize the mod to their liking. (Please use the Wiki to learn how to create the custom books)
- (PnP) - Plug-and-Play version, this version will contain preset recipes for vanilla, and other modded enchants, for players to add, or packs who dont want to add in all the enchants themselves.
Version 1.18 - Skipped
Version 1.17 and Below
Focused Books are a standalone expansion to Pedestals Focused Books.
Focused Books can be crafted, and when used in an enchanting table, they will only accept that specific enchantment.
So for example the Silktouch focused book, when enchanted at the right level will always give you a Silktouch Enchanted Book.
Recipes are pretty simple, and in this first version ALL vanilla enchants are supported. Look forward to future version with additional mod support!!!
To get started you need to make a Focus, this can be crafted by surrounding a eye of ender with glass.
With your Focus's and books, you can combine them in shapeless crafting with other items to make focused books. (Check JEI for all the recipes)
That is about it! Its a very simple, yet handy mod that can vastly improve your enchanting experience.
Some things to note:
Since I'm not using any asm/hacks in this mod you may notice some minor things:
- After enchanting a focused book, once its placed in the players inventory it converts into an Enchanted Book with that enchantment on it, it may not always go into the same slot as you placed it when this occurs.
- If you make an automated enchanting setup, the item wont convert into an enchanted book until its in a players inventory OR dropped on the ground, the focused book isnt useable in anvils until its converted.
