Description
Gruesome? Probably. Worth it? Definitely!
Have you ever picked up a magic mod for Minecraft, and thought that it was too tame? Was there not enough danger involved when creating your next high-tech gadget? Bored with all of those peaceful animals just staring at you without a care in the world? Well then, I am glad you came here!
Blood Magic is an arcane art that is practiced by mages who attempt to gather a vast amount of power through utilizing a forbidden material: blood. Even though it does grant a huge amount of power, every single action that is performed with this volatile magic can prove deadly. You have been warned.
For the best experience, you should install JustEnoughItems to find your way through the recipes.

Getting Started
Getting started in Blood Magic has changed slightly since 1.7.10. Rather than finding a Diamond to craft a Blood Altar, you need to obtain some Demonic Will. To get your first bit of Will, you'll need to craft some Soul Trumpets Snares and toss them at enemies. If you're lucky, this will snare the enemy. When killed, snared enemies will drop a small amount of their Will. I'll let you take it from there.
For a more comprehensive, web-based guide, see this document. Big thanks to Tiyth at MinecraftGuides for putting it together.
Documentation
Documentation is provided via an in-game book managed by Guide API under the name "Sanguine Scientiem".
In 1.16.3+, the in-game book is instead managed by Patchouli! Can confirm, it's naisu.
Art
You may notice the mod has an entirely different look than you may remember. These textures were graciously provided by the Unity team.

In the market for a MineCraft server to play with some friends? Don't know how to set one up? Then consider renting an already configured server!
If you click on the picture above and select a plan (recommended 6GB or higher for most modpacks), you can use my code wayoftime to get 25% off of your first month! A small commission of the server goes towards my daily caffeine addiction, but I'd say only consider a purchase if you're already looking for a server!
Team
WayofTime
Way works on all the cool content you get to play around with. Can usually be found making a mess for Nut to clean up.
TehNut
Nut is essentially a maid. He primarily works behind the scenes, making sure the codebase itself stays as clean and optimized as it can. He's also in charge of most of the work involved in porting to new Minecraft versions. Can usually be found committing code in the wrong bracing style.
Yulife
One of the art people. Currently on an extended vacation.
CyanideX
Another art person. Currently on sporadic vacations.
BBoldt
Our third art person. Currently on a permanent vacation.
For additional information, see the MinecraftForum thread or the images tab.
VT-14
One of the new members of the team. Works on the fancy rendering in the in-game guide, which makes the user's life a lot easier.
Wrince
The other new member! Works on the content of the in-game guide and constantly updates it when I make arbitrary changes.
chonky
A (relatively) recent addition to the team, chonky spear-headed the 1.20 port of the mod. Also fixes dumb things that I did in the past...
Firel
Even another art person! Made the music called "Bleeding Edge of the Hidden Realm", which is featured in the mod as a playable music disc.
