The Distantlands mod is designed to add functionality that isn't added by other mods. functionality that exists on fabric or with bucket plugins. Distantlands was an old minecraft RP server, but has since moved to enjoy a modded experience. This mod re-adds various features lost in the transfer from plugins based to modded based.
various commands are added:
/dmg - allows damage to be dealt to the player via dice roll or a specified amount (won't kill the player)
/restore - allows restoring of a specified amount of health
/roll - allows rolling of dice in this format: ##d##+/-##
/vanish - applies or removes invisibility
/fullbright - applies or removes night vision
/gamerule waterDamage true/false - enables or disables water damage
This mod also modifies the fishing loot table to add new fish to the game as well as additional fishing functionality:
there are now 10+ fish to catch and upon catching the fish will all have a unique length in inches and weight in lbs - allows competitive fishing to occur
also featured is an ooc (Out of Character) and an IC (In Character) chat channels, ooc being regular global chat and IC being local chat
you can toggle between the two with the command ./ch ic/ooc
