Description

Credits for the textures of the Idol, Guardian of the Idol, Altar / Bench of the Idol: AjGray on Planet Minecraft (he is really good at his job, visit him and support him)
How to get started:
Found a totem of Immortality with a blast furnace (although it can be an offensive gesture towards the divinity so adored by the Illagers) will allow you to access its secret: the emerald key.
It will be a long and expensive process, but obtaining this item will be essential to access the structure that houses the Idol.

The Obelisk:
Rarely, in the depths of the Dark Oak Forests will you be able to find an Obelisk, a mystical structure protected by Illagers (especially evokers) as a resting place for the incarnation of their Idol.
The emerald key will allow you to break into the structure by opening the locks that protect it (there may be other ways to infiltrate the close-ups, but the top, where the Idol square is located, is accessible only thanks to this object).
In addition to the illagers themselves, you will come across the Guardian of the Idol, a powerful descendant of the Iron Golem, billed as one of the latter's first defenses.
This imposing and cryptic tower could contain various adversities, but if you manage to climb it to the top you will have the opportunity to challenge the last summoners, and finally the real Idol.

The Idol:
You will initially come across the dormant form of the Idol, also referred to as its altar.
Trying to destroy this strange block similar to an enigmatic golden eyeball will awaken him from his sleep, starting the real Boss Fight.
Here is a brief description of his attacks / behaviors (don't read if you want to avoid spoilers).
The main attacks of the Idol are based on whirling and aggressively against the player, rising towards the sky to crash and cause damage to a very important area, teleporting after the player when he is too far away
and above all summoning different entities that will rush in. his help.

First Phase:
In addition to its main attacks, during the first phase the battle will be characterized by the presence of clones similar to the original Idol (with the difference of having blue eyes), which will summon numerous evoker
fangs as soon as they come into contact with the player; sometimes he can summon Vex as well.

Second Phase:
In the second phase he will no longer summon the fangs, turning to the use of actual and identical clones (they do not damage the player, but allow the Idol to blend in with each other, making it very difficult to hit him
if he mixes around them.
In addition to simple clones, he will also be able to evoke `` idol bombs '', decidedly deadly entities as they will explode causing extreme damage to the player, if he comes into contact with them (the explosion could
easily cause instant death , however the bombs do not move, making them easier to identify and possibly avoid, always paying due attention).

Last Phase:
When he comes to the use of his last strength, The Idol will continue to use the same attacks as the second phase, with the addition of a mode in which it becomes incredibly slow, giving a loooong higher physical
damage to the player.

The Idol's attacks are based on the main arcane moves of the Illagers themselves: the fangs and Vex connect directly to the fearsome summoners; the possibility of cloning is linked to the Illusionist; the ability to
heal during battle can be associated with witches

The bench of the Idol:
Once you have eliminated the Idol you will get its eye, an item that will allow you to craft the Idol bench.
Thanks to this sort of altar you will be able to get experience by sacrificing emeralds or totems of Immortality (by clicking on the block with the left mouse button, while holding an emerald or a Totem in your hand you will get experience points).
I know, it might seem like a bit of a paltry reward for the feat of taking down the actual incarnation of a deity, but the ability to gain infinite experience isn't the only action possible thanks to this particular block.
Clicking on it while holding a netherite sword in hand, having an immortality totem in your inventory and having 100 or more experience levels will give you a divine blessing, which will be expressed through a powerful weapon: The Holy Blade.

The Holy Blade:
This powerful sword will allow you to inflict 14 attack damage (accompanying lightning and a levitation effect always towards the opponents), in addition to the possibility of summoning evoker fangs by clicking with it on a block; while clicking in the air you will acquire increased speed and jump boost effects.
This weapon will truly offer you divine potential, which however could be dangerous or difficult to handle for an ordinary human being...

Future ideas for the mod:
This is my first official mod, I would say that it can be considered for the most part already complete, but there are some updates that I would like to apply in the future:

-Upgrade to newer versions (1.17 / future)
-
Add an ost for the Idol boss fight
-
Add more translations (for the moment only the italian translation is available)

I hope you enjoy the mod, and good luck in the battle against the Idol ;)
