About CCTV Craft
Whether you want to spy on your friend's house on a server, or you want to keep an eye on your village, CCTV Craft will provide you the tools to watch whatever you want anywhere you want. We have used MCreator to make this complex mod from the ground up. The mod is maintained by NorthWestTrees Gaming. Currently, we have limited features but we plan to add more content and release stable builds as the development goes on.

Known Issues
- 4.0.0 has flickering overlays in the camera view when viewing cameras far away. This was fixed in 4.1.0!
- Mod broke for 1.20.1 after Mojang removed support for testing for block materials. 1.19.4 may be stable.
CCTVCraft's Future
What happened?
Mojang decided to remove support for block materials which CCTVCraft 4 used heavily but not constantly through its code. I had to make the hard choice to spend time working on a new version of the mod something better organized for the workspace or try to salvage the existing project which would have possibly taken a year to sort its bugs out. I started to work on CCTVCreaft 5 towards the end of 2024.
What versions will CCTVCraft 5 Support?
CCTVCraft 5 will start on Forge 1.20.1 and NeoForge 1.21.1. There will need to be a lot of time to add back the mechanics and ensure the workspace is easy to find, which is my main concern right now. Over time more features from 4 will be reintroduced and buffed up with features.
When will it be released?
Though there is no set release date, I want to implement the cameras and some monitor features before the first release. There will also be a forge/NeoForge energy system for devices when it drops. Each release will also include new features. I am aiming for June though if sooner then that's better.
Will CCTVCraft be compatible between 4 and 5?
Sadly these are going to be completely different mods. It's not advised to use CCTVCraft 5 as a replacement for CCTVCraft 4 as many changes are different due to the redesign of the mod.
Will CCTVCraft 4 get 1.20.1 support?
Sadly this is not possible due to the workspace being broken due to the changes by Mojang. I had too many reports of the mod not working and after testing it I realized the shape the mod was in was critical so this is the whole reason for the change between CCTVCraft 4 and 5.
Any way I can help?
The mod is being worked on, though not much to help with as I like to keep the code private. Though feedback and beta testing will be a really important thing towards the full release. If you wish to help with testing when the time comes or want to provide feedback/ideas, then joining my Discord server and heading to this thread would be the place to go to help.

How to Install
Download Forge & Java
Download Forge from the offical Site or here. If you dont have Java installed then install it now from here. After Downloading Forge you can run the file with Java.
Prepare
Lounch Minecraft and select your Forge istallation as Version this will create a Folder called Mods.
Add Mods
Type Win+R and type %appdata% and open the .minecraft Folder. There will you find your Folder called Mods. Place all Mods you want to play in this Folder
Enjoy
You are now Ready. Re-start your Game and start Playing.
