Nightmare Tamer is a companion-focused expansion for Born in Chaos that allows players to tame the Nightmare Stalker using Monster Flesh. This mod transforms one of the game's most terrifying foes into a permanent, loyal guardian with deep customization and persistence.
You can keep the stalker during the day by naming him "Lover" or using the gamerule disappearanceofSpiritsUndertheSun and setting it to false
Persistent Soul-Bond: Unlike wild Stalkers, tamed versions don't despawn. They remain invisible and invulnerable during the day and automatically manifest at your side every night.
Dynamic Command System: Toggle between Follow, Stay, and Wander modes. If you travel too far, the Stalker will automatically warp to your position.
Customizable Aggression: Use commands or hotkeys to set the Stalker to Hostile, Passive, or Defensive states, allowing it to act as either a brutal tank or a quiet companion.
Elite Vitality: Features a massive 250 HP cap. You can heal your Stalker with Monster Flesh, but it requires maintenance as its health slowly decays over time.
Identity & Memory: Full Name Tag support. Your Stalker’s name and health are saved directly to your player data, ensuring it retains its identity even after nightly respawns.
