GenuinePromoteMe

This plugin helps new users, who just joined the server, to promote themselves to the group you configurated in the config. This can be done by typing the command: /promoteme <password> (The command was changed by me due to some issues with PermissionsEx)

You can for example hide the password in your rules, thus only players, who read the rules are able to promote themselves.

• This plugin is now working with any permission plugin!

• You have to have Vault in order to use GenuinePromoteMe!

You can setup the defaultgroup and the group, to which the player has to be promoted to, as well as the password. There is no need to give the group or the user a special permission to perform this command, because players, who have already been promoted will recieve a errormessage.

Installation

• Make sure Vault is running on your server
• Set the defaultgroup in your permission plugin
• Put the GenuinePromoteMe.jar into your pluginfolder
• Restart your server and configurate the plugin by editing the config.yml

Configuration

There are simple options to configurate you plugin the way you like. The config.yml (plugins/GenuinePromoteMe/config.yml) gives you the possibility to change the defaultgroup and the group to which the player has to be promoted to, as well as the password.

  defaultgroup: Guest
  promotegroup: Member
  password: change

Change the defaultgroup to a group you prefere (mostly a defaultgroup like guest). You can set the promotegroup to any group you like. Make sure, that these exist in the permissions plugin config. After that you can set the password to any password you prefere. The plugin will ignore lowercase and uppercase. You set for example your password to bewather then the player can either type bewather or beWathER.
