TNT: Reforged is a Forge mod that adds a huge collection of powerful, fun and chaotic TNT blocks to Minecraft.
The goal of this mod is not just to add “bigger TNT”. Each TNT has its own behavior, visual style, crafting recipe, animation and special effect. Some are useful for mining, some are made for destruction, and some are just pure chaos.
The mod currently adds 45 different TNT blocks, ranging from simple utility TNTs to huge legendary event-style explosions.
A massive destructive TNT that creates a huge explosion and leaves a large crater behind.
Pulls nearby entities inward and finishes with a strong implosion.
Creates huge temporary water waves that spread outward. The water is cleaned up afterward, so it does not permanently flood your world.
Spawns a large tornado event that pulls entities, items and players into the air, spins them around, and ends with a powerful final blast.
Fires large red laser beams in four directions, cutting through blocks and damaging anything in the way.
Creates a corrosive area that melts blocks, damages entities and leaves acid-like particles behind.
Explodes with an amethyst-style shard burst and deals extra shard damage around the blast.
A legendary cosmic TNT that creates a huge bright energy explosion with an afterglow field.
A chaotic legendary TNT that creates reality rupture pulses, teleport jitter and a final shockwave.
Some TNTs do not just explode once. They create short events that continue for a few seconds.
These TNTs are made to feel more like special events instead of normal explosions.
TNT: Reforged is not only made for creative mode testing. Every TNT has a crafting recipe and recipe book unlock support.
Stronger TNTs usually require more expensive materials, while simpler utility TNTs are easier to craft earlier in survival.
Special TNT effects also work on survival and adventure players.
Creative and spectator players are protected by default.
The mod includes its own custom visual FX system for primed TNTs. This means some TNTs use custom particles instead of only relying on vanilla Minecraft particles.
Examples of custom FX include:
These effects make the TNTs feel more alive while they are ignited.
Placed TNT blocks can also have a subtle glow / pulse effect. This can be turned on or off from the config menu.
If you want a cleaner vanilla-like look, you can disable it. If you want the TNTs to feel more alive, you can keep it enabled.
The mod includes many config options, including:
This helps keep the mod fun while still giving control over performance and gameplay intensity.
Many TNTs in this mod are very powerful, but the mod uses caps and queue systems to keep large explosions more controlled.
Temporary effects are also cleaned up when needed.

Some TNTs mine. Some burn. Some freeze. Some pull everything into the air. Some break reality.
