Description
You want a mod to add what is missing in Vanilla? Then this mod will be your rescue.
List with the features:
Lots of crafting recipes has been added, for example:
Arrows can be crafted from paper instead of a feather and/or an iron nugget instead of flint.
The Elytra and the enchanted golden apple has now a crafting recipe.
For more take a look into Jei.
The following enchantments got additions:
Aqua Affinity - Haste effect in rain
Mending - Shift right click to repair an item with levels
Frost Walker - At Level 2 or higher place snow like a snow golem
Depth Strider - Grants speed in level of the enchantment while rain
Knockback - At Level 2 or higher grants a cooldown to shields with a 20% chance per hit
Fire Protection - At Level 4 or higher on boots extinguish fireblocks you're standing in
Fire Aspect - Sets the block on fire the target is standing on at level 2.
New Enchantment: Explosive
Replaces the Explosive Enchantment Combo in 1.15 but requires gunpowder too.
Now other features:
Arrows are throwable
Trapped chests and furnaces get explosive after right click with at least 2 tnt
One flint in Off Hand and one in the main hand can be used like a how.
Left Click with Cobblestone on other Stone will turn the Cobblestone Item in the main hand into gravel. Nice for a Skyblock island.
A new Command. /explode creates an explosion with custom strength, syntax: /explode x y z [strength]
The item from the mod image is sharpened flint. A new early game weapon which is unbreakable,
does low damage but is very fast and has a special hitting sound.
Left clicking an emerald block with a trident which has channeling 1 or above destroys the block and
make it thundering after a cost of 4 XP levels. Warning: sets blocks on fire
Left clicking an emerald Block with a sword which has Fire Aspect 1 or higher will make the sun shining with a cost of 4 levels. Warning: damages terrain
Destroying leaves per hand could grant XP.
An old abandoned structure spawns random in the world (with nice loot).
New food has been added. See the recipe in Jei.
I would advise cooking it.

When I ported the mod to 1.12 I had to remove some features, because of some incompatibility, but I added the features again in version 1.1.0 .

I won't make a frabric version of the mod, because I don't understand, which advantages fabric could have.

How to Install
Download Forge & Java
Download Forge from the offical Site or here. If you dont have Java installed then install it now from here. After Downloading Forge you can run the file with Java.
Prepare
Lounch Minecraft and select your Forge istallation as Version this will create a Folder called Mods.
Add Mods
Type Win+R and type %appdata% and open the .minecraft Folder. There will you find your Folder called Mods. Place all Mods you want to play in this Folder
Enjoy
You are now Ready. Re-start your Game and start Playing.
