Thaumic Insurgence

 

Thaumic Insurgence is the latest addon for thaumcraft 4 (yes I know I'm about 8 years late to the party)

 

This mod will be adding a myriad of new features, such as a few new thaumic multis, new content that just needs to exist, and likewise will be taking over older content from mods such as kekztech (such as the thaumium jar) that didn't balance their content well and would be better within another mod.

 

Likewise, this mod will be attempting to provide support for some older bugs/features that might not be able to be fixed directly, but do have potential. for alternative workarounds

 

I'd also like to take this line to extend my thanks to the Arcana team for their lovely textures and just amazing mod in general, I'll be spending a lot of time backporting a lot of their content, so thank you Arcana Dev Team for allowing the use of Arcana assets except the lore! Specificially thank you to Falkory and Ibanplay for the lovely textures! Thank you for the beautiful work!

1. What's here?
  - I've updated most of the lore of the mod and fixed some minor bugs

 

2. I've become the primary maintainer of Thaumic Horizons somehow or another
  - expect to see updates to the mod on curseforge and modrinth soon.

A Brief Update Three - Dev Diary 3 - October 24th, 12022/2022

 

1. What's coming?
      - Infusion Altar Alpha
         - The code is finished, need to figure out the parallelism and a couple other things, I posted it's first pick in
           the gallery
      - A new type of wand
      - A few other things

2. An update to the intercepter code! Greesy improved the intercepter's code significantly, so it runs a lot
faster and a lot more consistently now!

3. Hey guys! Sorry, school's been kicking my ass recently, but I finally got through the hard part and I should be a bit more consistent!

A Brief Update two: insurgent boogaloo - Dev Diary 2 - September 26th, 12022/2022

 

1. What's coming?
     - Infusion Matrix Alpha
        - This is an updated version of the infusion matrix, the plans are to fix this one bug that happens in packs
           when infusion recipe instability is 26 or more (which I have finished, I also plan on adding features such as
           the ability to suck in more than one item from pedestals at once to increase that speed it has two
           proposed designs so far

 

     - Thaumic Interfacer
       - Performs a lot like Witching Gadget’s Arcane Abacus, but tells you the actual instability of the infusion
          matrix, rather than just telling you the stability. This will be helpful as I am planning on adding multis and
          what not to update the stability system.

 

     - Potential for infusion stability multis
        - I am working on multiblock structures to give infusion altars stability, the current stability system is mostly
       just god ugly block spam and with your help, it will be so much more!

 

2. What has been worked on:
     - Cult of the Lamb based content
       - Red Crown
          - the red crown now exists, has a 15% discount, it doesn't have any effect yet, but that's fine.
          - it went through 2 different icon sets.

 

3. When are we seeing an update to the mod?
     - Hopefully within the next week, I'm trying to finish the matrix alpha's multi item sucking system first!

A Brief Update - Dev Diary 1 - September 8th, 12022/2022

1. What's Coming?

     - Cult of the Lamb Based Content

       - I am currently working on a Red Crown Based item for my mod, with curses and boons, a leveling up

         system, an enchantment that effectively works like soul bound from the newer versions, an effect that

         triggers whenever you remove the crown, a 3D model for when you wear it, kind of like how draconic evolution's helmets work

       - It will effectively work as a form of goggles from Thaumcraft

       - I will update this as I remember everything I'm working on for it since I feel like I'm forgetting something.

Ver 0.0.0.1 - Release Saturday August 13th, 12022/2022

(Previously labeled as Ver 1.0.0.0, I changed how I labeled versions as of August 31st, 12022/2022)

 

 What's currently in the mod: Affectionately known as the "Infusion******" within the code, this TileEntity takes advantage of a hole in thaumcraft's infusion matrix's code that allows me to grab hold of the AspectList of the infusion recipe, which allows me to manipulate the matrix from another block.

 
The purpose of this is to allow you to be able to interact with the infusion matrix through an interfacing block (that goes directly under the central pedestal) to be able to use the essentia pipe system (or essentia provider if you have thaumic energistics) by placing an IEsssentiaTransport implementing TE (such as the essentia pipes or the essentia provider) directly underneath the infusion interceptor.

This will allow users of the GTNH pack to get around the massive issues lagwise that come with world accelerating the infusion matrix. The Interceptor functionally has infinite essentia throughput and is specifically designed to be cheap af to encourage people to use it over a world accelerator, do ***not*** make it expensive or it will take away a main benefit



Future Plans
Taking over Kekztech's thaum stuff

All of kekztech's thaum additions are currently horrifically balanced, (such as the thaumium jar having the same capacity as an essentia reservoir, but only for a single aspect, however costing titanium for some idiotic reason) and as such, I'm going to be pulling the code into this mod and handling it here.

Possibly moving my MagicBees updates to this mod instead

Introduction of new thaumic multis, such as a multi portal system to allow for an alternative to rockets and likely the system that will craft magic circuits

I need to update the background to be its own instead of the current one.
     - Finished as of August 31st

How to Install

Download Forge & Java

Download Forge from the offical Site or here. If you dont have Java installed then install it now from here. After Downloading Forge you can run the file with Java.

Prepare

Lounch Minecraft and select your Forge istallation as Version this will create a Folder called Mods.

Add Mods

Type Win+R and type %appdata% and open the .minecraft Folder. There will you find your Folder called Mods. Place all Mods you want to play in this Folder

Enjoy

You are now Ready. Re-start your Game and start Playing.
