Smart Obsidian Tools

Smart Obsidian Tools adds a complete set of three powerful obsidian tools to Minecraft, each designed to save you time and make your survival experience smoother.

✦ Features

Obsidian Pickaxe — Mines a full 3×3 area of any pickaxe-mineable block (stone, ore, deepslate, and more). Perfect for mining sessions and tunnel digging.

Obsidian Shovel — Digs a full 3×3 area of any shovel-mineable block (dirt, sand, gravel, soul sand...). Flatten terrain or dig foundations in seconds.

✦NEW✦  Obsidian Axe — Fells an entire tree in a single swing. Break any log and every connected log and leaf block will instantly break and drop. Smart enough to recognize each tree as a separate structure, so nearby trees won't be affected.

✦ Smart Detection

Every tool is smart about what it breaks. The 3×3 effect only triggers if the target block is actually mineable by that tool — no accidental breaking of leaves, grass, or other unintended blocks. The axe only triggers when breaking a log, not leaves.

✦ Player Control

All three tools share the same toggle keybind (default: Left Shift, fully rebindable in Options → Controls). Hold the key to temporarily switch back to normal 1×1 mining or chopping. Release to return to the enhanced mode.

✦ Configuration

Server administrators and modpack creators can configure the maximum number of blocks the Obsidian Axe will fell at once via the smartobsidiantools-common.toml config file.

✦ Crafting

All tools are crafted with obsidian and obsidian sticks. Recipes are available in-game via your favourite recipe viewer (JEI, REI...).

🔧 Corrections :

• Fixed durability consumption being incorrectly affected by the number of blocks broken with the pickaxe, shovel and axe. v
  
  
• Fixed the Obsidian Pickaxe being able to mine Netherite, Netherite Blocks and Obsidian despite using the Iron tool tier.

Added the official mod logo, resulting in a slight increase in the size of the .jar file, with no impact on in-game performance.
