Simply Netherite

Description

Tired of looking for a reliable mod that adds Netherite armor and tools to version 1.15? Well, I was. So I made this mod.

This compact mod adds the ability to upgrade Diamond tools and armor into their Netherite counterparts, using a custom-made Smithing table that actually has functionality.

Netherite armor and tools function exactly as they do in minecraft versions 1.16 and up, with the follow traits;

Netherite sword and tools have 2031 durability, higher Enchantability, higher attack damage, and faster mining speed than Diamond tools, just like in vanilla Minecraft.

Netherite armor pieces each grant +3 Armor Toughness, aswell as +10% Knockback Resistance, for a total of 12 Armor Toughness and 40% Knockback Resistance.

Netherite armor also has higher Enchantability than Diamond armor, with the same durability as in the vanilla version.

To upgrade your Diamond gear or tools, simply insert them in the Smithing table upgrade station (see images), and you're ready to go.

You can also repair your Netherite armor and tools on an anvil using a Netherite Ingot.

To get a Netherite Ingot, explore The Nether dimension and find Ancient Debris.

Ancient Debris generates from Y-8 to Y-119, just as in vanilla Minecraft.

Reminder: As with any newly added ores to your world, Ancient Debris will NOT generate in existing chunks. To find Ancient Debris, explore to chunks within the Nether that you haven't been to yet.

This mod currently contains:

• Netherite Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots.
• Netherite Sword
• Netherite Pickaxe, Shovel, Axe, and Hoe.
• Ancient Debris
• Netherite Scraps
• Netherite Ingot
• Block of Netherite
• Smithing Table Upgrade Station
• 2 Netherite-related Advancements: Hidden In The Depths, and Serious Dedication. These Advancements are also in vanilla Minecraft.

Caution: Due to limitations in Minecraft 1.15, Diamond armor and tools LOSE their Enchantments upon being upgraded to Netherite.

However, your armor becomes fully repaired upon upgrading, so it's not all bad!

I have currently not added any other Nether Update features, such as new Nether biomes, Crimson/Warped trees etc.

If the demand is there, I'll add these features in a later version of the mod.
