Renewable Diamonds [Forge]

Description

A simple mod that finally makes Diamonds renewable (though expensive, in order to stay somewhat balanced).

Obtaining:

One Magma Block and Eight Coal/Charcoal can be crafted into One Diamond Fragment. Diamond Fragments are similar to Gold & Iron Nuggets, in that Nine Fragments can make a full Diamond and vice-versa. This means that One Diamond requires Eight Magma Blocks and 72 Coal/Charcoal (One Stack + Eight). Diamond Fragments can also be obtained by smelting all ten types of Diamond Gear (Tools, Armour, & Horse Armour).

Bonus Recipies:

You can substitute the Diamond in the Jukebox recipe for a Diamond Fragment, making it cheaper to play Music Discs in your base.

You can craft Diamond Horse Armor with Four Diamond Fragments, Two Leather, and One Saddle.

Note: The Recipes currently don't unlock in the Recipe Book automatically, I'd recommend using JEI to find the Diamond Horse Armor Recipe.

Future Plans

- Have the recipes unlock in the vanilla Recipe Book without needing to be crafted first.

- Fabric Version for 1.18.2
