Obsidian Armor and Tools

Description

Simply mine a block of obsidian with a diamond pickaxe and put the obsidian into a crafting table, no new world needed just launch into your already existing one. This obsidian will give you nine obsidian ingots that can be used to make the tools and armor. The obsidian ingots can be turned back into obsidian by doing the same crafting for making a diamond block with the obsidian ingots.

Removing the mod is as easy as deleting it from your mods folder. Its a simple as that. This mod will not corrupt your worlds, only says "items removed x". To get around this simply just burn the tools and armor you have in the world and you are done.

The armor and tools are equivalent to the 1.16 netherite ones. When updating to 1.16 I might make some buffs to obsidian variants or make a entirely new variant which netherite is part of in crafting. Please let me know which you want

Diamond durability is 1561 and the obsidian is 2033. The tool efficiency is also higher equivalent to how it would be using efficiency 2 on a diamond pickaxe. The armor provides fire resistance. The chestplate for example provides 4 toughness and 10 armor where as diamond provides 2 toughness and 8 armor. The armor enchantability is 25 but this might be debuffed to 20.

Future Updates:

I do not currently have plans to play Minecraft past 1.16 so therefore I cannot be sure on saying a version will come out for 1.17. My updates have been varied over time and I currently have been putting this off due to COVID-19 and my education. I hope everyone is safe and I will give you all an update for 1.16 in the coming months to 2021.

These versions have bugs and I cannot guarantee that all the features work in these versions. Please use the your own discretion. So far only crafting does work that I'm aware of. These can be changed in the mod files itself or by making your own recipes.

Q: Is there no config for this mod? If not, please make one?

A: No there is not a config file. This was removed when reworking the mod for version 2.0. Do I have plans to add this back? If I can have a link to a way to do this for Minecraft 1.14 then yes.

Q:What is the durability and or damage for the tools and armor?

A: The armor has a variable range but all above 400 durability. The tools have a durability of 2033.

Q:Can you make a version for X version of Minecraft?

A: This mod will be updated for all Minecraft versions moving forward. I will not back-port this mod as coding for previous versions I am not familiar with anymore.
