Description
No Mob Farming: Patched
This project is on temporary hold.
Summary:
No Mob Farming Patched is a mod that's pretty self explanatory. It prevents mob farming by disabling mob drops unless the player or their pet kills the mob (directly. This means if the final damaged point is by fire or fall damage, no drops).
This is a fork of the mod "No Mob Farming" by Laike_Endaril which patches some behavior I found annoying. In the original mod, mob drops were disabled for every entity except the player. This included wolves/ dogs. This fork adds various tameable mobs to the "allowed" list, so that you can continue to hunt with your pets.
This mod was created for my modpack, but anyone can use it. I recommend using this over the original.
Note that versions of this fork past version 1.0.0 requires Sophisticated Wolves and Simply Cats. If you just want to fix the vanilla wolf, use version 1.0.0.

List of mobs that cause drops (strike-through text means incomplete):
Wolves.
Sophisticated wolves.
Cats (from Simply Cats).
More to come...
Known Issues and Fixes:
Like the original mod, this doesn't manage to remove drops 100% of the time. Certain mods like Primal Core add drops to mobs in what looks to be a non standard way, causing their drops to appear anyway. A temporary fix is to disable additional mob drops in primal core and use LootTweaker to add its drops directly to the respective mobs loot table. As I am already doing this for my pack, I will likely not patch this as I have little need for it. If you decide to make your own fix, you're welcome to make a pull request on the Github.
