Description

Lava Tech
Lava Tech is an all-purpose tech mod that serves to add machines meant to bridge the gaps left by other large tech mods and provide content that isn't already added by other mods. The mod adds a lot of new machines meant for all stages of the game, from early to late game, by providing cheap machines in the early game while providing strong gear and incentive to progress through the mod's late game. It also adds a new mechanic, heat, which is used to power many of the machines, and can even be used to upgrade their speed.
The mod adds:
- 34 new blocks
- 25 new machines
- 15 new items
- 2 new tiers of tools
- No worldgen
- And tons of new features and interactions

Note: for documentation, please use the in-game guide as well as the tool tips on blocks and items. These explain the mod pretty well.
Heat & the Lava Vent:
The main element of this mod is heat. When the Lava vent is placed next to a heat source, it provides heat to the machine above. Higher levels of heat increase the speed of machines, but also increase the energy consumption of machines that use energy. This means that high heat is usually desirable if you can provide the extra power, but can sometimes be detrimental if you cannot supply the power. Some machines such as the upgrader don't need the extra speed anyways, so it's not always favorable to have the highest amount.
Heat Sources:
Lava Source: provides 1 level of heat
Superheated Magma Block: provides 2 levels of heat
Electric Heater: provides 4 levels of heat, but uses 60FE/t
Basic Machines (no heat needed):
Conduit: Acts as this mods cables, allowing energy to be transfered between machines.
Battery: Stores energy, can be discharged when given a redstone pulse
Block Burner: Generates power by destroying blocks.
Complex Machines (require heat from lava vent):
Coal Infuser: The only machine that doesn't require power. Turns coal into magmatic coal, which has a longer burn duration and is needed to craft other items in this mod
Induction Furnace: Smelts raw ore blocks into 12 ingots each, giving a greater return than normal smelting
Lava Generator: Generates energy from heat. The higher the heat, the greater the production
Centrifuge: When given lava (right click with a bucket), the centrifuge will seperate the liquid lava into its solid components, producing items such as: raw iron, raw gold, sand, obsidian, quartz, calcite, iron ingots, and cobblestone.
Compressor: Compresses blocks into other blocks. Recipes:
- 16 coal -> 1 diamond
- 32 endstone -> 1 enderpearl
- 8 ice -> 1 packed ice
- 8 packed ice -> 1 blue ice
- 4 dirt -> 1 gravel
- 7 netherite scrap -> 2 netherite ingots
Different recipes take different amounts of time. Generally speaking, the better the recipe, the longer it takes.
Upgrader: used to make the endgame gear in the mod, as well as Infernal Ingots. Note: infernal ingots will burn the player when in their inventory, so it is best to have storage nearby when moving the item around to avoid being burned. Fire Protection will help with this. Recipes:
- Netherite Sword + 1 Infernal ingot -> Infernal Sword
- Netherite Pickaxe + 1 Infernal ingot -> Infernal Pickaxe
- Netherite Boots + 4 Infernal ingot -> Infernal Boots
- 9 Lava Bricks + 1 Netherite ingot -> Infernal Brick

This mod is still being tested for game balance, so any feedback is appreciated, as well as any bugs you come across.
