This project was inspired by and created on request from the Bukkit forums.
ItemCurrency is an economy plugin. It focusses on using items instead of a rather virtual economy.
It currently has copper, silver and gold coins which are represented by special clay, iron and gold bars respectively. Copper coins have a value of 1, silver coins of 8 and gold coins are worth 64. They can be crafted from one into another (i.e. 8 copper coins can be crafted into 1 silver coin or 1 gold coin can be crafted into 8 silver coins). The special items can not be used in any other crafting recipe.
The plugin currently supports two database system, either MySQL or the file-based SQLite.
It depends on Vault, which is preferably connected to some kind of permission plugin. It will hook into Vault as an economy plugin and can then work with every other plugin that uses Vault to get a servers economy.
It also uses PluginMetrics by Hidendra to gather anonymous information about its usage. If you want to opt out of this, there is an option in the config.yml. Only anonymous data is gathered, like the server version, the amount of players online and the database system used.
