Description
HOT and COLD - 1.19.2
version 1.1
Bring mother nature to Minecraft!

This lightweight mod adds heat and cold to Minecraft biomes, making them harder to survive, just like real life!
But don't worry, it's not too intrusive. This mod is meant to add a bit of challenge to the early days of your Minecraft world, and gives your resources to overcome nature through easy progression.
The following item's will help you survive the climates of Minecraft:
Heat Pack

Keep this in your inventory in cold biomes to keep you warm!
Warming Jacket

..or you could wear it! This provides equivalent protection to iron!
Cool Pack

Keep this in your inventory in warm biomes to keep you cool!
Cooling Jacket

..or you could wear it! This provides equivalent protection to iron!
Ice Torches

Don't feel like carrying protection? Place it instead! These torches will cool you eternally in the warmest of biomes!
Too cold? Place a torch or light a furnace! Here are all the heat sources that will provide you warmth within a 5 block radius:
- Torch
- Lantern
- Lit Furnace
- Campfire
- Lava
- Lava Cauldron
- Fire

Keep track of the temperature using the temperature icon!

New in 1.1:
The Yeti is here!

They are found in cold biomes, be careful!
Cooling Aura Structure

Provides cooling in a 60 block radius. Requires 16 packed ice and Yeti Heart.
Respawn Protection

When spawning into a hot/cold biome, you recieve 3 minutes of Climate Protection. This prevents you taking damage from the temperature.
- Added an ice trade to Villager masons, to make getting ice early game easier.
- Added two gamerules: canColdTick and canHeatTick. Turning these to false will prevent you taking damage from the temperature.
Coming Soon:
- Range attack for Yeti
- Yeti equivalent for warm biomes
- Extra temperature controlling blocks/items
Credit to
TheAdubbz for the inspiration for this mod, with his mod Tough as Nails.
This mod has taken that idea and added a few additional mechanics.
I do not intend to replace Tough as Nails and only took the temperature idea and created a mod around it
(because no one likes thirst in minecraft).
Feel free to use this in modpacks.
Mod is still in development, more features to be added in the future.
