Hammers come in tool tiers of iron and above and are useful for mining ores and combat. Mining an ore with a hammer will drop the ore in its block state, rather than directly dropping the resource which can be useful when waiting to get Fortune or for mods such as Create to get more XP by using the ore block. In combat, hammers are a more extreme version of the axe, dealing increased damage but suffering from a much higher draw time, suitable for dealing with a few stronger mobs or another approach in PvP.
Saws also come in tool tiers of iron and above and are useful for harvesting wood while being quite pathetic in combat. Destroying a log with a saw will convert it into planks directly, useful for quality of life or a good inclusion for modpacks which lengthen the early game.
This mod is intended primarilly for use within a modpack, but still offers strong alternatives to the classic pickaxe and axe with unique tradeoffs worthy of consideration in any playthrough. Please inform me of any bugs. Compatibility with other mods and some config options coming in the future.
