Description
Allow me to introduce you to Gum-Ho! a mod that adds new food in the form of gum. What makes this gum so special you might ask, let me tell you what they do. They add potion effect when you eat them. No need for a potion brewing stand, at the moment you can just put the needed items in a crafting bench and you get a stick of gum (actually it's like 2, but don't tell anyone about that).
"Is that really it? That's lame, you're lame."
Hold your horses there buddy because there is one more detail I have yet to mention. You can make armor out of these pieces of gum and when you equip a piece of armor from a specific type of gum ,you will get the potion effects as long as you wear at least one piece. For example, you can have a chestplate of regeneration, helmet of night vision, leggings of strength, and boots of water breathing and you will get ALL 4 effects for as long as you keep the each piece of armor on. This mod isn't made with the intention of being balanced or fair, it adds gum and you can make armor with it so have fun with it. At the moment the only potion effects included is: Flame Resistance, Resistance, Jump Boost, Regeneration, Water Breathing, Night Vision, and Strength.
Down the line, I would like to include the other positive potion effects. The only reason the other positive effects aren't in is because I kinda forgot about them and at the moment I don't to much time to work on this and I wan't to get this out with a reasonable amount of stuff so forgive me for not including those. I would also like to figure out a way to include the negative potion effects in something practical.
Other things I have in mind for the future is as follows:
- A specific block to create the gum and not just using a crafting table
- A Special Container for the Gum in your inventory
- The Negative Potion Effects and possibly my own
- Anything else I can think of :)
I hope whoever downloads this mod enjoys it and please tell me if there are any issues you find with it.
