Similar to the tool hierarchy of wood, stone, iron, etc there is a spice hierarchy of raw, sparking, flaming and molten.
But for your own safety, you must build up your spice tolerance by eating a couple foods of each level before progressing to the next.
Spicier foods provide stronger buffs, and if you do conquer the final tier, when you conquer the final tier, you will receive the suspicious item.
