Firepowder  is just a mod that adds craftable gunpowder.

To craft gun powder you need to have sand and clay to get firepowder and then smelt it to have Gunpowder   

pretty easy!

There are also some other craftable items like bonemeal, kelp, seeds, sand, iron, copper and leather
