Tired of having no Chatty alternatives on Fabric? Can’t even build your orbital redstone nuke because every server runs on polished Paper? Yeah… same problem. So here’s one small step to fixing that.
Ex-chat is a simple server-side mod that adds global and local chat to Fabric — just like Chatty.
• Local chat - only players within a certain radius can see your messages
• Global chat - type "!" before your message to send it to everyone
That’s it. Clean, lightweight, and actually useful for both survival and RP servers.
Finally, a basic chat system Fabric was missing.
You can also customize chat text colors in the mod config.
Currently, there is no command to reload the config - a server restart is required.
