Eterea Obsidian Sync

🌐 EtereaSync (Server-Side Only)

EtereaSync is an essential utility mod designed for server administrators using the Eterea Obsidian launcher. Note: This is a server-side mod and should not be installed by clients.

Key Features

This mod turns your Minecraft Forge server into an intelligent update hub, automatically exposing the necessary files and configurations for connecting clients.

1. Dynamic Manifest Generation

   • Automatically scans the server's 

     mods

      folder in real-time.
   • Generates a JSON manifest containing the file list, file sizes, and SHA-1 hashes for integrity verification.

2. Automatic Version Detection

   • Dynamically identifies the exact Minecraft and Forge versions running on the server.
   • Sends this information to the launcher, ensuring players always launch the game with the Forge version that exactly matches the server's.

3. Embedded HTTP Server

   • Spins up a lightweight embedded HTTP server (default port 3000) running alongside the game server.
   • Provides direct download endpoints for mods (

     /download/filename.jar

     ), allowing the launcher to sync clients directly from the game server without needing complex external hosting.

How to Use

1. Install the 

   .jar

    file into your server's 

   mods

    folder.
2. Start the server.
3. The mod will automatically open the configured port and expose the 

   /manifest

    endpoint.
4. Enter your server's IP address (e.g., 

   http://your-ip:3000

   ) into the Eterea Obsidian launcher to enable automatic synchronization.

Note: This mod is part of the Eterea Obsidian ecosystem, ensuring no player ever joins the server with outdated mods or incorrect configurations.
