The Easier Resources mod focuses on adding non-complex recipes to obtain rare or scarce resources in Minecraft. It also adds recipes for non-obtainable items in-game like end portal frames. Below is a list of additions as of the latest version of the mod (release 1.2).

Rotten Flesh to Leather Process:

This addition allows the player to convert 36 rotten flesh to one leather in the following process. 4 rotten flesh makes 1 condensed flesh. Smelting the condensed flesh yields 1 leather piece. 9 leather pieces make 1 leather.

Coal Compression:

This addition allows the player to convert 36 coal blocks and 5 glass into a single diamond. 9 coal blocks make 1 diamond shard. 4 diamond shards and 5 glass make 1 diamond.

Wither Skull Crafting:

This addition allows 72 bones, 1 coal block, and 8 diamonds into a wither skull. 8 bones and 1 coal block will make 1 wither bone. 9 wither bones make 1 wither bone block. 1 wither bone block and 8 diamonds make 1 wither skull. This addition is mostly intended to help with other mods like the advanced combat mod that requires well over 15 nether stars to make the advanced nether star sword and such. I realize with this change that a player could be drowning in beacons, so just know that this is what it was intended for.

Enchanted Golden Apple Crafting:

This addition allows 4 gold blocks, 4 diamond blocks, and 1 golden apple to be crafted into an enchanted golden apple. I chose not to use the classic recipe because I feel it's too easy.

End Portal Frame Crafting:

This addition allows 4 ender pearls, 4 blaze rods, and 1 nether star to be crafted into an end portal frame. This means that you need to kill the wither 12 times to get a single end portal. OP? I think not.

Totem of Undying Process:

This addition allows 4 gold blocks and one emerald block to be crafted into a totem core that can be crafted with two gold ingots and two golden apples to become a totem of undying. This addition is mostly intended for laggy servers that don't have the connection strength to journey out to find a woodland mansion. Instead, it adds a decently cheap recipe to save players' sanity.

Shulker Skell Crafting:

This addition allows 5 purpur blocks and 1 diamond block to be crafted into a single shulker shell. This will allow players to essentially exchange killing a bunch of shulkers for a diamond block. The purpur part ensures that the player still needs to journey past the base end island before obtaining a shulker shell.

Saddle Crafting:

This addition allows 7 leather and 1 iron ingot to be crafted into a saddle. You won't need to find them anymore from dungeon chests. I modified the recipe to be different from the mo' creatures crafted saddle intentionally so that they are compatible with each other.

String Obtaining:

This addition allows 4 wool to be crafted into 1 Dense Wool. When broken, dense wool will always yield 12 string regardless of silk touch or fortune.

Prismarine Shard Crafting:

This addition allows 4 fish of any type and 1 water bucket to be crafted into a fish core which, when crafted with 4 more fish of any type, will become a single prismarine shard. It should be noted that the water bucket will become a normal bucket after crafting.

Snack Crafting:

This addition allows a single seed to be crafted into a snack. A snack takes 1/2 a second to consume and will only restore 1/2 a hunger point. It is intended for players who have started a world and either do not want to kill animals or cannot find food. Snacks should tide you over until you can get a consistent food supply.

I strongly recommend that you use Just Enough Items with this mod so that you can see the layout of the crafting recipes!
