Demesne Automation is a progression-driven tech mod built around forging, casting, and alloying. Start with hand tools and a simple forge, then climb through mechanical automation, RF-powered industry, and finally Resonant machines capable of item duplication.
Along the way, your tools evolve with you. Demesne Automation features fully modifiable tools that gain new abilities as you advance—unlocking powerful Modes like Timber, 3×3 mining, and ore detection, alongside Modifiers such as Magnetic pickup, Reinforced durability, and Enchantment modification. Your tools aren’t just gear—they’re part of the progression.

Demesne Automation guides you through a structured technology ladder that advances both machines and tools:
- Handcraft & Forging – hammers, forges, porcelain clay, molds, and early parts
- Upgradeable Tools – Iron through Resonant Steel tools that gain new Modes and Modifiers as you progress
- Machine Progression (Steel → Energized → Crysteel → Resonant) – advance from fuel-based Mechanical machines, to RF-powered Energized machines, into Nether-tier Crysteel machines, and finally the Resonant endgame focused on high-tier automation and item replication
Major systems & features
- Tiered alloys & machines: Progress through Steel → Energized Copper → Crysteel → Resonant Steel, unlocking Mechanical, Powered (RF), and Resonant machines.
- Forging & casting: Grind, melt, alloy, and cast metals into parts using Crucibles, Alloyers, Casters, molds, and their powered upgrades.
- Resonance endgame: Extract Resonance from metal-bearing items to power late-game machines and the Replicator.
- Augments & I/O: Upgrade machines with augments for speed, efficiency, capacity, range, and wireless item/fluid/energy transfer, plus full side-based configuration.
Tools
Tiered tools (including the Paxel) evolve from Iron through Resonant Steel and gain powerful Modes (Timber, 3×3 Mining, Detect Ore) and Modifiers (Magnetic, Reinforced, Night Vision). Tools are configurable in-game, letting you enable, disable, and fine-tune behaviors as your progression advances.
Resource generation
Demesne Automation includes multiple ways to generate and automate core resources early and at scale:
- Infinite Water: Powered Wells can create a renewable water source when placed correctly.
- Infinite Cobblestone: Cobble Generators produce cobblestone using water and lava.
- Ender Pearls: Ender Traps automate Enderman farming and can be augmented for range and attraction.
- Ore Multiplication: Multi-step processing chains (grinding, refining, melting, casting) increase ore yields well beyond vanilla smelting.
