I created this mod because I was looking for a small mod that would add a simple block capable of collecting nearby items. Since I couldn't find exactly what I needed, I quickly put together my own solution using MCreator.
The block features a storage slot, a filter slot, and a configurable range of 0 to 7 blocks around it. Item suction can also be disabled with a redstone signal.
Hoppers can be used both to insert items into the block and to extract items from it.
The filtering system supports only a single item type. To learn how to apply a filter, check the tooltip of the Vacuum Filter.
I hope this small mod will be useful to others as well.
