A mix of Biomes and Miscellaneous Ideas!

Current Change log

After Releasing The last update, I wanted to revisit Vinylium and Titanium while also fixing up the bugs and issues in the mod.

This update adds...

  • Kohakutou

- Kohakutou now can spawn as an underground geode! Calcite wasn’t added and is instead Diorite, but the Geode comes with smooth basalt.

  • Vinylium

-Vinylium now has cosmetic appeal. It is very similar to quartz, but it instead has a grey-black color to it for darker builds. It is also very musical! It has a regular Block, Smooth Block, Pillar, Chiseled, and Brick variety. They all have slab and stair types too!

-Vinylium can also be used to craft the Disc Burner! This block is the new way to create your favorite Music! It takes a blank disc, 2 dyes, and a special item (only for some discs).

{Recipe list being added soon, they aren't compatible with jei yet]

This was a small update but I still hope you enjoy it! The mod has been a fun project to work on as a side thing, and I hope to grow it! It'll take time before the next update because I want to clean up the yucky Mcreator code and finish up some other projects. Enjoy the mod and have a Happy New Year

  • Some minor additions

-Warp Whistles, a special item that can teleport you to your spawn point! It takes a LOT of Titanium to make and has very little durability! (they are inspired by SMB3)

-Up-beets. These guys are flying beets that are found in forests. They currently don't drop much, but I have plans for them in the future.

-Balefulness of Botany, a new enchantment that damages most plant based mobs (including Creepers)

Future Goals

Most of my non-implemented ideas revolve around biomes.

  • Christmas Crag

-Snowy Mountain biome filled with Christmas themed flora, fauna, etc.

  • Creeper Forest

-Forest full of Peat moss, Sandbox trees, and "dynamites"

  •  Tropics

-The most generic biome idea i had, filled with Mango, Palm, and Ficus. Fauna includes Monkeys made of bananas, "coconut" crabs, and toucans

  • Rainbow Desert

-Desert with bands of rainbow sand. you can find generic cacti for the most part with budgies & cockatiels. You'll occasionally find an Oasis of Rainbow Eucalyptus & Coconut Cacti

  • Poison Bog

-Swamp filled with Toxigroves (my own idea of a Mangrove & Manchineel hybrid) along with different Slimes. The water is dangerous here!

  • Mushroom Islands

-It's already in Minecraft but I plant to add a way to gather Mold for Unobtainable potions and a "Cure" (with penicillin) along with Prototaxites (The largest mushroom to exist).

  • Vinylium & Titanium

-They are already in here, but i want to give them more features

Old Change Logs

Beta 1 & Beta 1.1

  • Titanium

Titanium is a resource used solely for utility items or to make it so iron isn't the only material used mid-game! It is now used in place of iron in pistons & the blast furnace. It also is used to make 2 new types of tools, the pitchfork & knife.

-Pitchfork

The Pitchfork is used to move grass to and from different blocks, It collects rolls that can be placed on dirt or netherack depending on the grass type

-Knife

The knife can be used to cut various foods (right now it only allows for melons and apples though) into smaller bits. If you cut a Notch apple with it it will split into four pieces. Each piece will give you a quarter of the effects from a Normal Notch apple. Although it isn't the most useful tool, you can use it to save your food or rare Golden apples.

  • Kohakutou

Kohakutou is a Chewy Crystal like candy in Japan, but in Choconilla it's a crystal that you can find underground that provides sustenance. It cannot be silk-touched yet as it isn't finished, but it can still be mined for food.

  • Vinylium

Vinylium is the ore that this mod was born from, and it has revived many changes to it's texture over time. It is now used to craft noteblocks, jukeboxes, and empty discs. It also plays a nice sound whenever it's mined.

-Music Discs

The music Discs that this mod ads are so plentiful that it has its own section, Blank discs can be used to craft some discs, but you still have to find others naturally. (sorry you can't craft pigstep or Stal) The reason I decided to leave some uncraftable is so that there is a good reason to explore Bastions and other structures.

Music Discs

Screenshot of all the Discs in the modImportant: None of the Nether or End discs can be obtained yet, but all overworld ones can be obtained via creepers, crafting (not all), or Music Shrines (a new structure I'll get into soon.)

Biomes

Like ores I am also working on making unique biomes. By that I mean biomes that I have not seen done by other mods, or my own ideas. I only have one biome to show for now, but I plan to move over to eclipse to improve the current one, and add my others.

  • Floral Fields

The Floral Fields is a biome full of flowers of all shapes and sizes & is a good place to get lots of string, dye, along with petals. It isn't finished but i have many features planned for it! It is actually here thanks to an a picture I found here! After looking at it I thought about a biome themed on Gigantic Flowers and a plant based ecosystem. The two mods you'll find here are Mooblooms and Dandelions, along with a rare variant which you'll have to find yourself! Currently they don't have offspring.

  • Mushroom biome additions

The Mushroom biome is pretty bland so I added a few more mushrooms. Large Variants of some are planned but are not in at the moment. You can eat two of them (one actually giving good saturation in exchange for weakness) and one is a big explosive (so much so where you can punch it, you'll have to find another way to harvest it).

Other Additions

There are many other additions but they are mostly small, so they'll be listed here

  • Various Assorted flowers
  • Raw Metals

  • New Sandstone and Soulstone types
  • Cloud Berries
  • Big Rose bushes for Wither and Blue Roses
  • A new Painting Referencing a game Notch Loved
  • Healing Hearts, Hearts that drop from enemies every now and then that heal you (bosses drop hearts more frequently!)

  • Yammonsters, a yam monster hybrid that shoots plant pellets at you! (totally not from Mother 3)
  • Yams & baked yams
  • Many Advancements!
  • Music Shrines, an underground Structure that has 2 chests. Music shrines always have a Jukebox and 2 chests that mostly contain discs

Heavily Unfinished

Stuff here is in the mod but cannot be found in survival because they are not usable yet.

  • Florafly

A Florafly is a big butterfly that flaps around the Floral Fields Feeding off pollen/nectar. It is also prey for something that will be introduced at a later date. Doesn't spawn because the wings are buggy and it has no animations.

  • Beryls

Beryls are Gems that have mythical properties! The Red one is Bixbite, the Blue one is Aquamarine, and the Purple one is Morganite (it's also going to be the stuff in end crystals). I'll leave their special properties secret for now.

 Beta 2.0

Since it is now nearing Halloween, I wanted to release some Halloween related features! Including...

  • Candy Corn

Ah yes, everyone's favorite Halloween Sweet is here! You can get Candy Corn kernels from the Wandering Trader as a rare trade! You then can either eat the kernels, or you can plant them to grow a full cob of Candy Corn! You can also make Chocolate Candy Corn, which is a little better than regular Candy Corn Kernels! They can also be used to make a Confectioner's Delight!

  • Marshmellows

Marshmellows are everyone's favorite campfire treat! They are made with sugar, can be toasted, and can also be used to make...

-Yam Casserole, a dish usually made during fall with yams and Toasted Marshmellows!

-Confectioner's Delight!

-Marshmellow Golems, another member of the Golem family! They don't really fight, but they produce Marshmellows at the same rate a chicken produces egg. If you dislike waiting, you can punch them to get some back (but be careful, they aren't easily healed). They are made with a Marshmellow block and a carved pumpkin

-Sugar can also be made if you smelt them in a furnace, you won't get the same amount as you would need to make them, but a sugar farm can be setup with the marshmellow golems

-Marshmellow blocks are also craftable and are used to make Marshmellow Golems.

  • XP Ore

XP Ore is just a simple ore that you can find that will grant the player Experience when mined. The texture is also animated!

  • New Wandering Villager trades! These include:

-Village Themed Music Discs

-Cloud Berries

-Most Choconilla flowers and fungi

-Sweet Berries

-Bamboo

-Candied Flower Petals

-Cookies

-Candy Corn

  • Additional Features

-Candied Flower Petals, a new sweet made with flower petals and sugar! They were inspired by this!

-Confectioner's Delight, an abomination of almost every sugary item in the mod! To craft it, you'll need Kohakutou, Toasted Marshmellows, Candy Corn, Candied Flower Petals, & sugar.

That about wraps up this update! To anyone reading this, have a great Halloween/Thanksgiving month!
