ChatAlert is a mod that lets you create tags, and receive notifications when there tags are mentioned in the Minecraft chat. In-game it looks like this:




There is also a config gui. Here you can change the played sound, highlight color and tags. You can get by the config by going to 'Main Menu -> Mods -> ChatAlert -> Config'.




With version 0.2.0 and up, you can also ignore people. If you add a username to the list, you won't receive messages from the user. This can by handy if some russian guy is spamming the chat with insults that you don't understand. You can also block yourself, but why would you do that?



In 0.2.0 and up, you can also use custom regex string for server layouts. This means you can ignore and receive notifications in servers that not use the default chat layout. You can add an entry using this syntax: 'server-ip;layout-regex;username-index' (without the quotes). Here's an example for the server Hypixel: 'play.hypixel.net;(\[.*?])?( )?((?:[a-zA-Z0-9_]+))(:)?(.*);3'.
