This mod adds animal butchering to minecraft. It aims to make gathering food more immersive and it features a wide variety of new meat cuts.
Killing animals now drops Carcasses instead of normal drops (configurable). using a flint or iron cleaver to butcher them gives you the animal's primal cuts. and by using a butchering table you can get the individual cuts that you can cook and eat.
Currently, this mod is not finished and it only works for cows. Right now I am working on code optimization to make it smoother and simpler to add more to the mod. Then I will add new animals and features to it. After that I will focus on updating and improving textures as well.
Big thanks to onuadan the creator of Butcher's Delight mod that inspired the mod. Some of the textures and models were used from his mod, as well as a few features.
You can configure the mod in a few ways:
#If true, cows will drop carcasses instead of regular drops. If false cows will drop carcasses only if killed with a cleaver.
