The Hand Cannon is a weapon originally from the Better Than Adventure Minecraft fork. While Better than Adventure is arguably one of the best Minecraft mods ever created (I heavily recommend that you try it out someday, I wouldn't have made this mod if BTA wasn't as good as it is), some players may still wish to have elements of the game ported into standalone mods that they can use in conjunction with other mods for a more personalized experience. That's the reason why this mod exists!
For those who've never used it, the Hand Cannon is a weapon of mass destruction mobility tool and combat tool used to fling your foes (or yourself!) with the power of explosive cannonballs. Think of it like the Grenade Launcher from Quake, if you've ever played that.
To use it, you'll need some Explosive Charges - the cannon's special ammo - to load it. Loading is done simply by right-clicking while having at least one Explosive Charge in your inventory. You'll know that the cannon's ready when you hear it click and see its signature flame! Right-clicking again will cause the cannon to fire!
The cannon can be fired at a very rapid pace, but you'll need lots of ammo if you wish to sustain the rate of destruction for long. Outside of combat, it can make for a great tool for reaching far-away places or scaling cliffs within mere fractions of a second.
