🚂 Copper Rails — High-Speed Rail Rework
Rails are now made primarily from copper instead of iron, introducing new progression mechanics and speed dynamics.
🧪 Rail Oxidation = Speed Decay
Each rail type has four copper states (fresh to fully oxidized), just like copper blocks.
These states directly affect the maximum speed of minecarts:
🔩 Regular Rails, Detector Rails, Activator Rails
- Max Speed: 64 m/s (fresh copper)
- Speed Loss: −16 m/s per oxidation level
(e.g. down to 16 m/s when fully oxidized)
⚡ Powered Rails
- Now crafted using copper rails + iron ingot
- Max Speed: 32 m/s (powered)
- Speed Loss: −8 m/s per oxidation level
🧭 For comparison: vanilla rails = 8 m/s, elytra flight ≈ 32 m/s
🌟 New: Self-Powered Rails
A new rail type crafted with gold:
- Always powered — no redstone needed
- Max Speed: 64 m/s
- Can power adjacent powered rails
- Ideal for high-speed rail networks
