Original mod HERE!

So, I'm a big fan of beta 1.7.3 so naturally I enjoyed lemon's Beta Health mod. However, there was an issue where rotten flesh would restore your hp, and it could never poison you (rather, it did poison you but the poison didn't have any effect) so I updated the mod and made rotten flesh unedible. I've also added the option to configure the stack size (it's 1 by default) of food and the default amount of hunger you'll have (since hunger isn't really removed, just hidden and fixed to a certain value).

Hopefully it'll be useful to someone.

For configuring the default hunger value you've got a few options (default is 10):

20 - The maximum value, with this your hp will always regenerate fast.

18 - Your hp will regenerate slowly

17 - Your hp will not regenerate anymore, you can still sprint.

6 -   Cannot sprint anymore (exactly like in beta 1.7.3)

0 -  Your health will slowly deplete until you die

Credits go to lemonszz for the original mod.
