! DISCONTINUED !
Barkin' Mad! is a vanilla extension mod that adds a plethora of new wood types and trees as well as various other additional items, such as a couple of new plants

Not-so-frequently asked questions
What does Barkin' Mad! add?
Well, other than the trees and wood types that I've previously mentioned. There is a new item: Bark, as the (intentionally on-the-nose) name of the mod would suggest, is a new item to Minecraft which can be gained in two ways; either by random drops when breaking any log block or a guaranteed chance by stripping logs. Bark can also be used in the reverse by adding it back onto stripped logs, making the issue of accidentally stripping your base an issue of the past. Finally, you can use Bark to create versions of wooden blocks such as; Bark Fences, Bark Slabs, Bark Bookshelves etc.
What trees does the mod actually have?
As of the most recent version of the mod, there are 13 new types of trees (therefore wood) to the game. These include: Cedar, Ebony, Purpleheart, Walnut, Cypress, Maple, Willow, Palm, Teak, Wenge, Cherry, Dogwood & Iroko. Each of these come with their own set of wood blocks with the exception of Signs and Boats. Each tree can be found naturally generating around the overworld ranging from Jungles to Forests to Savannas. Each wood set has a different aesthetic that I've tried to make as unique as possible whilst also keeping it true to the real thing. There are plans for more in the future, so keep tuned for any more updates!
Other than wood, does Barkin' Mad! add anything else?
Surprisingly, yes! I didn't want the mod to exclusively be comprised of just wood. Instead my vision for the mod was to feature more plants too. So far the only new plants I’ve added are Nettles and Holly Bushes, but more are being considered.
Will there be more wood sets?
As the mod progresses, there will always be new wood sets. Not every new update will feature a new wood type but expect more to be added in time. I often cherry-pick which trees I'm going to add from a long list so that the wood doesn't have too many similarities between one another.
All textures used for the mod are also developed by myself, based on vanilla textures used inside of the game.
I am open to any forms of feedback on anything. Whether that be requests for an addition or a bug that needs fixing
:D
