Adventurer And Ruby adds three tamable gem creatures and some powerful potions, tools, and weapons to the game. Most of them can be crafted with rubies, while a few are obtained by tossing rubies into a wishing well.

New Ore
- Ruby Ore: Its rarity surpasses that of diamonds and it can only be found deep underground.
New Effect
- Frenzy: +100 % attack speed, +50 % move speed, –50 % target invulnerability time. (Affects players, zombies, and weapon-wielding mobs only)
- Magic Resistance: Reduces magic damage taken.
- Spellward Set: Grants 40% magic damage reduction
New Mobs
- Blue Man: Recruited using diamonds, loves diamonds. When low on health, it flees and repairs itself using diamonds it finds. Can be summoned by placing a carved pumpkin on diamond blocks.
- Green Man: Recruited using emeralds, loves emeralds. When low on health,it can repair itself using emeralds it finds. Can be summoned by placing a carved pumpkin on two emerald blocks.
- Red Man: recruited using Rubies, loves rubies. When low on health, it gains a berserk effect and repairs itself using rubies it finds. Can be summoned using one ruby block and a carved pumpkin.
Gem Man Recruitment
- Gem Man recruited using gems.
- Left-click to open the Gem Man inventory if already recruited.
- Sneak + Left-click to change the Gem Man behavior if already recruited.
Gem Man Behavior
- Following: Follows the owner.
- Patrolling: Patrols within a 9x9 range centered on the Gem Person's current block, actively attacks monsters.
- Standby: Keeps the Gem Person stationary at their current block.
