A little bit better adds a few things to make minecraft just that, a little bit better (in my opinion). For now it adds craftable double apples, which are essentially just two apples crafted together with the same saturation as steak. Stone armor, crafted out of cobblestone. Wooden buckets that can do everything (vanilla) iron buckets can do except pick up lava, because well, they're made of wood. Finally the ability to smelt rotten flesh into leather, a use for all that zombie meat lying around!
